Even more, the energy of her dance has the wonderful gift of awakening the „fire within” of overflowing vitality.
For the past three years, Amira has dedicating herself with true passion to the study, sharing and enrichement of the art of oriental dancing. Since 2006 Amira has been a member of the dance-theatre company Celestial BellyDancers. She has dance experiences in Romania and abroad due to the company’s shows inspired by the Oriental culture (e.g. “A tale from the 1001 nights”) and other oriental dance shows, specially composed for different events.
Curriculum. Amira was born on the 10th September 1983 in Campina (Prahova Valley region), the sunniest city in Romania. Her first meeting with the fascinating mysteries of the oriental culture occurred in her childhood, due to one destinys’ happy action, that is a three months journey to the exotic Kingdom of Morocco. The brightness and the cities’ opulence – Marrakech, Casablanca, Asilah… – still undulate in her childhood memories, on the rythms of the algerian singers’ music Cheb Mami. Later, in the same year, Amira started to take classical dance lessons at the Youth Club from her native town. Since then until she completed high school she has been a diligent pupil of the club – she initially started with ballet, then latin dances, modern dances, solo or group dances. Each dance and style of dance had its influence on her and also helped her to be an active presence at most of Campina’s cultural productions.
Later on, during her second year of University. Amira descovered the oriental dance and received lessons from her oriental dance teacher, Cristina Bauer, in Bucharest. Her favourites styles are: Beledi, Turkish Cabaret, Classical Egyptian; she likes to dance using the veil, the cane, the sword or the zills. Almost two years later she was asked by her teacher to join Celestial BellyDancers, an oriental theatre dance company. She received a role in the dance-theatre show called “A tale from the 1001 nights” which had its premiere in Bucharest, Romania, at the famous “Constantin Tanase” Theatre on the 8th March 2006. Many other public shows followed with the dance company in Romania and abroad (Slovenia) as well as a solo oriental dancer (Romania and Italy).
At present Amira is a student in Bucharest at Marketing Online Master and she dedicates herself full of passion and successes to artistic management – on the stage as an oriental dancer and also behind the scenes, as a booking agent.
